CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY

 

This CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY (“Refund Policy”) governs and lays out the terms of cancellation and refund of any order made on the website of RUNGAJAUN TEA & PLANTATION INDUSTRIES PVT. LTD.  (“Company”): www.rungajauntea.com (“Website”). Any capitalized terms used herein but not defined shall have the meaning assigned to them under the Website Terms of Use (available at: https://rungajauntea.com/pages/terms-of-use), which govern your use of our Services and our Website.  

  1. Cancellation by Buyer
    1. As a general rule, buyers shall not be entitled to cancel an order once placed. Buyers may choose to cancel an order only within one (1) hour of the order being placed. However, subject to a buyer’s previous cancellation history, the Company reserves the right to deny any refund to the buyer pursuant to a cancellation initiated by the buyer even if the same is within one (1) hour followed by suspension of account, as may be necessary at the sole discretion of the Company. 
    2. If the buyer cancels his/her order after one (1) hour of placing it, the Company shall have a right to collect a penalty of 100% of the order value for breach of contract terms as a compensation for the damages suffered by the Company, with a right to either not to refund the order value in case the buyer’s order is prepaid or recover from the buyer’s subsequent order in case his/her order is postpaid.
    3. To cancel an order, the buyer must send an email to: connect@rungajauntea.com within one (1) hour of placing the order. The email subject line should state “Order Cancellation for Order ID No.: (input order no.)”, and the email must clearly state the reason for cancellation.
    4. Pre-paid orders are not eligible for a refund on cancellation. In case you wish to modify or cancel a prepaid order, a credit voucher equivalent to the amount will be issued to your account, which you can use for future orders.
  2. Cancellation by persons other than the Buyer
    1. The Company reserves the right to collect a penalty for the orders constrained to be cancelled by the Company for reasons not attributable to the Company, including but not limited to:
      1. in case of the address provided by buyer being either wrong or falls outside the delivery zone;
      2. failure to contact buyer by phone or email at the time of confirmation or delivering the order booking;
      3. failure to deliver order due to lack of information, direction or authorization from buyer at the time of delivery; or
      4. unavailability of all the items ordered by buyer at the time of booking the order. However, in the unlikely event of an item in an order being unavailable, the Company will contact the buyer on the phone number provided to us at the time of placing the order and inform the buyer of such unavailability. In such an event buyer will be entitled to cancel the entire order and shall be entitled to a refund to an amount upto 100% of the order value.
    2. In case of cancellations for the reasons attributable to the Company, the Company shall not collect any penalty from the buyer.
  3. Returns
    1. As a general rule, the Company does not accept any returns and/or exchanges of products once delivered. However, in the following cases, and the sole and absolute discretion of the Company, the Company may choose to accept returns of products delivered:
      1. In the off chance that you have received a product that is different to what you had ordered. In such an instance, the Company will replace the order with the correct order. In order to seek a return in such cases, you required to notify us by email to: connect@rungajauntea.com within twenty four (24) hours of receiving the order. To be eligible for an exchange, the items received must be unused and in the same condition in which it has been received.
      2. In case the product received is damaged in any way, including being post the Best Before Date. In such an instance, the Company will replace the order with appropriate products. In order to seek a return in such cases, you required to notify us by email to: connect@rungajauntea.com within twenty four (24) hours of receiving the order. The email subject line should state “Order Return for Order ID No.: (input order no.)”. The email must clearly state the reason for seeking an exchange and must contain photo proof of the damaged product for easier processing. To be eligible for an exchange, the items received must be unused and in the same condition in which it has been received.
    2. In the case of orders that have been ordered as part of a combo pack or together with multiple other products, the whole pack or group of products making up the order will have to be returned. There will not be any partial returns accepted for this.
    3. Any and all returns must be self shipped to Rungajaun Tea Estate, Near Rungajan Tinali, Golaghat, Assam 785621 India. A credit of INR 100/- will be made to your Rungajaun Tea account in lieu of the shipping costs.
    4. Process for shipping:
      1. Please pack the products securely to prevent any loss or damage during transit. All items must be in unused condition with all original tags attached and packaging intact.
      2. On receiving the products at the designated address mentioned above, the shipping credits and exchange and/or refund, if applicable, will be initiated within fifteen (15) days.
    5. If an order placed during a sale is returned to us, only the amount paid by you will be refunded, not the current product price.
    6. Customised products are not eligible for return, refund or exchange.
  4. Refunds
    1. Buyers will not be entitled to a refund under normal circumstances. Buyers will be entitled only to an exchange as provided above.
    2. Notwithstanding the above, in case buyers are entitled to a refund for orders, the same shall be subject to this Refund Policy. The Company retains the right to retain the penalty payable by the buyer as described herein this Refund Policy from the amount refundable to the buyer.
    3. Buyer may be entitled to a refund upto 100% of the order value if the Company fails to deliver the order due to a cause attributable to the Company, however such refunds will be assessed on a case to case basis by the Company.
    4. The decision of the Company on all refunds shall be final and binding, and you agree to adhere to the decisions made in this regard by the Company.
    5. All refund amounts shall be credited to buyer’s account as may be stipulated as per the payment mechanism of buyer’s choice. Any and all delays in processing of refund amounts once notified by the Company should be directed to the appropriate bank in which the account of the buyer is held.
